Kim has perfected her technique of capturing the beauty of nature's leaves as durable, wearable works of art. Each piece begins with a unique leaf taken from her perennial garden in Seattle or the woods on her Cascade Mountain farm. Kim layers metals on the leaf to preserve and strengthen it and colorful patinas to illuminate her visions of the seasons. This year, Kim's artworks are only available on a limited basis because she has received a federal grant for medical outcomes research which demands much of her time.
